About Us

Hoghton Coffee Lounge & Bar is an independent family run business, owned by local professional footballer Mathew Hudson and his family. 

We will support local suppliers by sourcing the very best produce from them, to provide our customers with delicious perfection and a high standard of service.

Our aim is to create a welcoming, friendly and relaxing atmosphere to the people of Southport and beyond, where you can come to escape and enjoy our quality food and excellent choice of Coffees (Crosby Coffee) and teas. We also hold a drinks licence, so you can enjoy a tipple with your meal - wine, beer, or a liquor coffee.

Recently in February 2020 we held the first of many "Social Supper Night"s. Our aim with this event was to give you the chance to meet new people, join in with conversations, be entertained by live music whilst enjoying an amazing 3 course meal and have a great time! The unique thing about these evenings is that everyone is seated together on a long table to allow for socialising and conversation. Our staff are a vital part in the success of the business. Having had the place for almost a year now, they have created a great rapport with their customers through their courteous, warm and attentive personalities, resulting in wonderfully loyal customers!

Being a local independent business we have seen how hard it is to keep hold of customers and keep them coming back  so we appreciate every single one of you that walks through our doors every day! 

In trying to evolve with the times without forgetting traditions, we hope to create a very desirable place, with a terrific reputation for both its atmosphere and its menu. We also provide free wifi to all of our customers for anyone needing to get some work done, or just have some time to themselves.

For the convenience of local businesses, we offer 10% off all items on our menu and will even deliver your food to you if ordered before 10:30am.
